The 4th Tuesday in Lent 2019

The children of your servants shall dwell secure; their offspring shall be established before you. Psalm 102:28

The end of this Psalm serves as answer to verse 1 with the cry for God to hear our prayers.

All we face in this life does not need facing alone.

God is with us through it all.

We just have to faithfully acknowledge this through actively calling upon Him to help us through it all.

In our years of sojourning with our fellow members of the Church, the Lord’s presence with us enables us to grow and to foster our children.

They see us in our afflictions closely, suffering with us.

Yet, God in His grace promises that our children will dwell secure in Him.

He will establish our children just as He establishes us by His loving grace.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to continue on your path by your Word. Help us to rely upon you alone through all we suffer, staying connected to your Church, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
