In our condition bent on rebellion against God, we are in constant need of His rescue.

All we can do is faithfully come to Him in confession.

In a begging mode for His continual help.

We ask that He not judge us.

Our only hope is Jesus as our righteousness in the eyes of God.

Prayer

Almighty God, help us to know our need for you. Help us to seek you alone. Spare us, good Lord, from what we deserve, through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
